If you are looking for a good way to learn Sudoku or a good online Sudoku game to improve your skills, check out: http://www.enjoysudoku.com/.

You can play on your mobile phone, book reader, tablet, desktop or laptop computer — There are apps for Android, iPhone/iPad/iPod, Kindle, Nook, and web browser. All versions include daily games at every level from the very easy to challenging levels. (Paid versions include unlimited, ad-free play.)

There is colour-coding while you play to highlight numbers that have been completed, assisting you in scanning to see potential openings.  If you want to use pencil marks, that’s easy to do too – just click on Pencil first, then the cell or digit (depending on your input method).

New to Sudoku? There are lessons and starter levels available to help you get started. There are also hints in case you get stuck, including the option to fill in all the pencil marks. For additional pointers, you may want to check out these solving techniques: http://www.su-doku.net/tech.php.

From the main menu, you can go into the Settings area to change the skin and font for your preference in colour scheme and character appearance. If you aren’t familiar with Kanji or Hanzi and are just learning Mahjong, you might find playing Sudoku with these fonts useful.

Mahjong game information with examples of rules and scoring for a number of popular variations can be found here: http://mahjongtime.com/mahjong-game-info.html There are options for multi-player, online play of course. This one doesn’t require a download and seems pretty popular. Video illustrating example of gameplay
